Subodh Kumar Singh

Subodh Kumar Singh, a 1997-batch IAS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), led by Vishnu Deo Sai. The state government confirmed this high-profile appointment in a recent order, affirming earlier speculations about his selection for the pivotal role.

On December 17, the central government approved Singh’s repatriation to his parent cadre following a request by the Chhattisgarh government. Shortly after, Singh rejoined the cadre and officially assumed his responsibilities in the CMO on Friday.

Before his repatriation, Singh served as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel at the central level. His return marks a continuation of his long-standing association with governance in Chhattisgarh.
