At the Elets eUttar Pradesh Summit 2024, Amit Pal, Head NIP, Haier Appliances (I) Pvt Ltd., presented an inspiring vision for Haier’s role in driving innovation and sustainability. Haier investing in India’s growth

Haier’s investment in India is a testament to its belief in the country’s potential. The company has committed ₹16,600 crores to its manufacturing and R&D facilities in Greater Noida, with another ₹1,000 crores in development. These investments align with the “Made in India, Made for India” vision, reflecting Haier’s dedication to domestic growth and innovation.

The Greater Noida facility, slated to become fully operational by 2028, is expected to produce 8 million units annually, creating over 15,000 direct and indirect jobs. He emphasised that Haier’s efforts go beyond business; they represent a partnership with the community, fostering economic growth and local employment.

Eco-Concious at Core

Haier has embedded sustainability into its operations and products. The company’s Greater Noida facility will feature a 4.5 MW solar plant, capable of generating 6.5 million units of clean energy annually, alongside systems for rainwater harvesting and waste management.

Recognized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Haier has consistently introduced energy-efficient appliances, earning accolades for its contributions to green technology.

Amit Pal’s presentation underscored Haier’s broader mission: fostering economic growth, driving technological innovation, and contributing to sustainable development.
