
The West Bengal government has transferred six IAS officers and one IPS officer to new postings, signaling a fresh bureaucratic change in the state’s governance structure. The reshuffle, announced on Wednesday, aims to streamline departmental operations and improve efficiency across various sectors.
Key Transfers:

- Roshni Sen (IAS: 1993: WB): Previously serving as Additional Chief Secretary of the Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources and Fishing Harbour Development Department, Sen will now also hold the role of Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment Department.
- Dr. Rajesh Kumar (IPS: 1990: WB): Former Principal Secretary of the Environment Department and Member Secretary of the Pollution Control Board, Dr. Kumar has been appointed as Principal Secretary of the Correctional Administration Department.
- Jagdish Prasad Meena (IAS: 2004: WB): Meena, earlier Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms and holding additional roles in the Correctional Administration Department and as Divisional Commissioner of Presidency Division, will now continue as Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, while also becoming Member Secretary of the Pollution Control Board and Divisional Commissioner, Presidency Division.
- Yeluchuri Ratnakara Rao (IAS: 2006: WB): Former Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department, Rao has been moved to head the Non-Conventional & Renewable Energy Sources Department as its new Secretary.
- Shashank Sethi (IAS: 2010: WB): Previously Managing Director of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited, Sethi takes over as Managing Director of the West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO).

- Abhishek Kumar Tiwari (IAS: 2012: WB): Former Special Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department, Tiwari will now serve as Managing Director of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited, with the additional role of Director of Tourism.
- Vivek Kumar (IAS: 2016: WB): The Joint Secretary of the Agriculture Department, Kumar has been transferred to the Health & Family Welfare Department in an unspecified role.
