Uttarakhand government

The Uttarakhand government has transferred five senior IPS officers to new roles. The changes impact key positions across the state’s law enforcement and administrative framework.

One of the most notable transitions involves promotee IPS officer Karan Singh Nagnyal (SPSSH-2005), who has been reassigned after serving as the Inspector General (IG) of Garhwal Range for over two years. Rajiv Swaroop, a 2006-batch IPS officer, will now assume the responsibilities of IG Garhwal Range.

Another major shift sees Amit Kumar Sinha, a 1997-batch IPS officer and Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, taking charge of the Sports Department and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). As a result, he relinquishes his oversight of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS).
