11 IAS transferred in West Bengal, Sumant Sahay appointed Joint Secretary in the IT & Electronics Department

The West Bengal government has undertaken a significant reshuffle of IAS officers across various departments. Khalil Ahmed has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Fire and Emergency Services Department, while Dushyant Nariala takes over as the Additional Chief Secretary of the North Bengal Development Department, with additional charge as Principal Secretary of GTA. Manoj Kumar Agarwal has been named Additional Chief Secretary of the Forest Department, alongside additional responsibilities as ACS for Disaster Management & Civil Defence Department.


Anshul Gupta has been posted as Special Secretary in the Mass Education Extension & Library Services Department, and Sana Akhtar assumes the role of Director, Child Rights & Trafficking. Sumant Sahay has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Information Technology & Electronics, and Anindya Mitra will serve as Special Commissioner with the rank of Special Secretary in the Food & Supplies Department.

Tejasvi Rana has taken charge as Director, Social Welfare, while Goutam Kumar Ghosh steps in as Special Commissioner in the rank of Special Secretary, Finance Department. Additionally, Shaikh Ansar Ahamad has been transferred to the post of Additional District Magistrate, Malda.
