7 IAS Transferred in Bihar, Sanjay Kumar Agrawal assigned additional charge as Secretary Transport

The Government of Bihar has carried out a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring seven IAS officers across the state. Four officers have been given additional charges, while three have been assigned to new posts.

  • Mihir Kumar Singh (1993 batch): Currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Panchayati Raj Department and holding multiple additional roles, including Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Mining Commissioner in the Mines & Geology Department, MD of Bihar State Minerals Development Corporation Limited, and MD of Bihar State Mining Corporation Limited, has now been assigned the additional charge of Chief Enquiry Commissioner, GAD.
  • Sanjay Kumar Agrawal (2002 batch): Secretary of Agriculture, with additional charge as Enquiry Commissioner, GAD, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary of Transport Department role.
  • Deepak Anand (2007 batch): Previously Secretary (Expenditure) in Finance, he is now Secretary of the Labour Resources Department.

  • Ashima Jain (2008 batch): Previously Secretary of Urban Development and Housing, she is now Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department and is also taking on the role of Enquiry Commissioner, GAD.
  • B Kartikey Dhanji (2008 batch): The State Project Director of the Bihar Education Project Council has been charged with an additional duty as the Enquiry Commissioner of GAD.
  • Pranav Kumar (2008 batch): Secretary of the Home Department and IG, Prisons, now takes on additional responsibility as Enquiry Commissioner, GAD.
  • Laxman Tiwari (2021 batch): Previously, Patna’s OSD of the Revenue & Land Reforms Department was posted as SDO of Chapra Sadar.
