The Union Home Ministry has issued new transfer and posting orders affecting 78 IAS and IPS officers from the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre. Out of the 78 officers, 33 are IAS officers, and 45 are IPS officers, marking a significant reshuffle across various Union Territories.
Noteworthy among the IAS transfers is Ajay Kumar Gupta (2010 batch), currently the District Magistrate of South East Delhi, who has been reassigned to Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. Monica Priyadarshini (2014 batch), the Special Commissioner of Industries, will also be moving to the same Union Territory. Bhupesh Chaudhary (2014 batch), previously Director of Higher Education, and Shashanka Ala (2014 batch) have been posted to Ladakh. Prerna Puri (2006 batch), last serving as CEO of the Jammu and Kashmir e-Governance Agency (JakeGA), will now take up her duties in Chandigarh.
The IPS cadre has also seen key transfers, including the movement of Delhi Police Joint Commissioners Tusar Taba (2002 batch), Hibu Tamang, and P.N. Khrimey (2004 batch) to Arunachal Pradesh. In addition, several Delhi Police district heads have been reassigned. IPS Rohit Meena, DCP Southwest, has been transferred to Mizoram, while IPS Manoj Kumar Meena, DCP North; IPS Jitendra Kumar Meena, DCP North West; and IPS Rajesh Deo, DCP Southeast, have been transferred to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Dr. Joy Tirkey will now serve in Arunachal Pradesh.
Additional transfers include IPS Mahendra Nath Tiwari (2004 batch), who moves from his role as Inspector General of Police, Armed, Jammu, to Delhi, alongside IPS Sanjay Kumar Tyagi (2008 batch) and Monika Bhardwaj (2009 batch), both from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Amit Roy (2009 batch) and Mohd. Akhtar Rizvi (2011 batch) have been transferred from Arunachal Pradesh, while Mohammed Ali (2012 batch) and Bhisham Singh (2012 batch) have been reassigned from Mizoram to Delhi. Delhi Police PRO Suman Nalwa (2011 batch) will also be transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.

The Home Ministry clarified that the transfers are effective immediately, though movements to and from Jammu and Kashmir will occur only after the Union Territory’s election process is completed.
