In a recent development, the government of Tripura has announced a major administrative reshuffle involving the transfer of several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers within the state. Notably, this reshuffle includes the reassignment of three District Magistrates. Here are the details of the officers and their new postings:

Dr. Debasish Basu (IAS:2005:TR), who previously served as the Secretary of the Health & Family Welfare Department, has been transferred and will now take up the position of Secretary in the General Administration (Secretariat Administration) and General Administration (Political) Department.

A. K. Bhattacharya (IAS:2011:TR), who held the position of Special Secretary with independent charge of Revenue (RR&DM), Home (Including Fire & Emergency Services, Excluding Jail), General Administration (Administrative Reforms), General Administration (Secretariat Administration), and General Administration (Political) Departments, will now be relieved from the independent charges of General Administration (Secretariat Administration) and General Administration (Political) Departments.

Dr. Rathod Sandeep Rewaji (IAS:2009:TR), previously the Secretary of Rural Development (including Panchayats) and Public Works (Sanitation part of Drinking Water & Sanitation) Departments, will continue in this role with additional responsibilities, including Director (Projects) of SLMC of RD Department, and will now also hold an additional charge in the health and family welfare sector.

Brahmneet Kaur (IAS:2012:TR), returning from an inter-cadre deputation, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Health & Family Welfare Department. She will also take on additional responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer of TRLM and Mission Director of NULM.

Dr. Prasada Rao Vaddarapu (IFS:2010:TR), the Managing Director of TRPC Ltd. with additional responsibility as Chief Executive Officer of TRLM and Mission Director of NULM, will be relieved from his additional charges in the latter two roles.

Debapriya Bardhan (IAS:2013:TR), who served as District Magistrate & Collector in West Tripura District, Agartala, will now take up the role of District Magistrate & Collector in North Tripura, MECON, Dharmnagar.

Nagesh Kumar B (IAS:2014:TR), formerly District Magistrate & Collector in North Tripura District, Dharmanagar, will be transferred to the position of District Magistrate & Collector in Sepahijala District, Bishramganj.

Vishal Kumar (IAS:2016:TR), who previously served as District Magistrate & Collector in Sepahijala District, Bishramganj, will now assume the role of District Magistrate & Collector in West Tripura District, Agartala.
