The Maharashtra government on Wednesday implemented a major bureaucratic reshuffle, marking the third such rearrangement in a short span of last one week. Ten senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers were transferred as part of this significant administrative overhaul.

One of the prominent changes involved Rajesh Kumar, who transitioned from the position of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Rural Development Department to assume the role of ACS for Relief and Rehabilitation at the state secretariat in Mumbai, known as Mantralaya.

Another notable transfer saw Anoop Kumar, the previous ACS of the Cooperation, Marketing, and Textile Department, assume the position of ACS of the Agriculture Department. Rajagopal Devara, who previously served as the ACS and Development Commissioner of the Planning Department, has been reassigned as the ACS of the Revenue, Registration, and Stamps Department.

Additional changes included Aseem Kumar Gupta, who transitioned from the Principal Secretary role in the Relief and Rehabilitation Department to become the Principal Secretary (1) of the Urban Development Department. Radhika Rastogi was appointed as the Principal Secretary (PS) of the Tourism Department. Sanjay Khandare was transferred to the position of PS for the Water Supply and Sanitation Department. Eknath Dawale, formerly the PS of the Agriculture Department, now serves as the PS of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department.
