In the midst of a rising number of COVID positive cases, the Government of Karnataka gave a nod to transfer of BH Anil Kumar, Commissioner, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and N Manjunath Prasad has been posted as the new BBMP Commissioner. Moreover, as per the official notification, Prasad has also been placed under concurrent charge as a Principal Secretary (Disaster Management, Bhoomi and UPOR), Revenue Department. Prasad has been one of the longest-serving Commissioners of the civic body, having served over three years, and preceded Anil Kumar.
