
The Government of Andhra Pradesh led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has appointed retired officer Subhash Chandra Garg as Advisor (Financial Resources Mobiliser) to Andhra Pradesh CM.
The 1983-Batch officer of Rajasthan cadre has been appointed for fundraising purposes. Garg has been given Cabinet status and would hold the post for two years or until further orders. Previously, Garg has worked as Economic Affairs Secretary and World Bank Executive Director.
During his service towards Government of Rajasthan, Garg held posts like Principal Secretary (Finance), Budget and Expenditure Secretary, Managing Director (MD), Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC); MD, Rajasthan State Seeds Corporation (RSSCL); Special Secretary (Mines and Energy) and Chief Executive and Director, Rajasthan Energy Development Corporation (REDC); Registrar of the University of Rajasthan among others.

Garg has pursued B.Com and LLB degrees from Rajasthan University. He is a professionally qualified Cost & Management Accountant and Company Secretary and received gold medal in 1990.
