
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday replied to the motion of thanks on the President’s address to Parliament, in the Lok Sabha by stating that the government believes in public welfare and modern infrastructure.
He said, “It is important that the country progresses, every Indian is empowered and our nation has modern infrastructure.”
The Prime Minister said that the Government has taken many pro-people decisions within weeks of taking charge. According to him, those decisions will benefit farmers, traders, youngsters and various other sections of the society. He added that the government has begun fulfilling the promises made to the nation.

Focusing on the importance of the water conservation, Modi urged the citizens to save water and stated that the crisis affects women and the economically backward section the most. He mentioned that the constitution of ‘Jal Shakti’ ministry is one of the steps taken by the Government to address the water crisis issue. He reiterated that the government is committed towards the task of bringing water to every household.

The Prime Minister said that the government will focus on micro-irrigation to save water. He also urged the corporate to stand by the farmers.

Sharing his vision of making India a five trillion dollar economy, the Prime Minister mentioned that promoting tourism and improving tourism infrastructure augurs well for economic prosperity. He also emphasised on the importance of ‘Make in India’ and skill development.
Concluding his address, Modi stated that the government is committed towards ensuring Ease of Living for all its citizens and urged everyone to work towards creating a New India.
