Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Kerala cadre, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of the State. On February 29, he will replace Jiji Thomson, who also belongs to the same cadre.
Mohanty has served the government as Sales Tax Commissioner, Director of Public Relations Department (PRD) and as Managing Director (MD) of Civil Supplies Corporation. He began his official career in the administrative service as a sub–collector in Thiruvalla.
