Vijay Vishwas Pant, a 2004 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Personal Secretary to Kalraj Mishra, who is the Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME).
The post fell vacant after Manoj Dwivedi, a 1997 batch IAS officer of Jammu & Kashmir cadre, was posted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce.

Currently, V V Pant is serving in the State as Managing Director, Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited.
