Sanjeev Kumar Singla (IFS:1997), who was Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been promoted in the rank of Joint Secretary. Last year, Singla succeeded Vikram Misri on August 01 as PS to PM. Till now, Singla held the post (PS to PM) in the rank of Director. Prior to the PS assignment, he was posted in Tel Aviv, an Indian Embassy in Israel.
