Chandigarh to Widen Bouquet of Services at e-Sampark Centres

Chandigarh residents will soon be able to buy movie tickets from their nearest e-Sampark Centre, besides carrying out other transactions.

City residents will soon be able to buy movie tickets from their nearest e-Sampark Centre, besides carrying out other transactions like making payments of property tax and issuance of domicile, character and caste certificates. An allocation of Rs 8.96 crore has been made in the budget for financial year 2011-12 for new facilities under e-governance, maintaining and expanding the services under e-Sampark, Jan Sampark and Gram Sampark. UT is also coming up with Sampark centres is more sectors and land is being identified by the architecture department. The system of patients fixing appointments for Government Multi-specialty Hospital, Sector 16, and Government Medical Hospital, Sector 32, at Sampark centres has already begun. Public can also submit their grievances relating to any department at these centres. A grievance monitoring system under which, whenever any grievance is received at the Jan Sampark centre, the same will be scanned and forwarded via email to the department concerned.
