Now Hyderabad has online facility for the registration of the visiting foreign nationals (other than Pakistanis), who can register their arrival in Hyderabad with the Foreigners' Registration Office (FRO) of the City Police Commissioner online. The facility caters to visitors holding various kinds of visas such as student, employment, business etc. The entire list of the visas is available on www.immigrtionindia.nic.in. Until now, foreigners had to do the registration manually by visiting the FRO located at the former office of the Police Commissioner in Purani Haveli, the Old City.

The foreigners can collect the resident permit by visiting the FRO with original documents for verification twenty-four hours after submitting the form online on www.hyderabadpolice.gov.in. This online facility has also been extended to Indians who are seeking Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) for visas/green cards in other countries. The PCC would be given seven days after the online submission of the form.
