The centre has approved an “e-governed examination system” for the University of Kashmir which will replace the old time-consuming system which. The project costing Rs 4.35 crore has been approved by the Union Ministry of Information Technology followed a meeting the vice-chancellor, Prof Reyaz Punjabi.The project has to be implemented in two years.
The scheme envisages on-line procedures for filing forms, retrieval of results, issuance of marks sheets, gathering of information about academic background of candidates and intimation to paper setters and evaluators.
