The Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA), Chandigarh, India, is planning to introduce the Sarathi software' this month. The software is equipped with all the necessary features required by the RLA for issuance of learner's license, driving license, conductor license, and driving school license.

Sarathi is a full-fledged on-line system for multiple type license management whose quick and versatile user menus facilitate the implementation of various transactions. It also has , fully integrated On Line Learner's License Test, using Screen Test Aid for Learner's License (STALL) module, which tests and educates the applicant on the correct knowledge of driving. The applicant would get a file containing all the documents, forms, checklists etc. which are required to be completed before the applicant visits any of the counters for processing of the file through the system.
