GoI to start e-Auction of spices in July

The Government of India (GoI) is planning to start electronic auction of spices by July 2007 in the country as part of the its efforts to make it a global hub for processing and marketing of spices.

The Government of India (GoI) is planning to start electronic auction of spices by July 2007 in the country as part of the its efforts to make it a global hub for processing and marketing of spices.

The Spice Board of India is planning to start spice parks at 10 places in the country, including Idukki in Kerala, Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and in Madhya Pradesh. The board is also planning to come up with a “Vision Document” within three to four months.
