The Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) of India has promised to put an e-Governance plan to enable applicants to track the status of building plans. CDMA is expecting that the system would be introduced by the end of this month.

CDMA uses tools like e-Governance, GIS and digital mapping. According to the Minister in-Charge of CDMA, Parithi Ilamvazhuthi, e-Governance would be in place by the end of the month.  Builders and developers wanted the authority to issue completion certificates for building without any delay.
