Bangladesh Telegraph and Telephone Board (BTTB) is yet indecisive on stopping the facilities of telegraph services on technical grounds.
With emerging newer technologies, the telecommunication system holds little interest among subscribers who are now widely preferring modern technology in exchanging their correspondence. However BTTB continue to provide telegraph services through Fax, RMS etc. It is mentionable that the BTTB has extended its contact with British Telecom for three months more which will expire on March 31, 2006.
