Seventy new electronic projects are to be launched in Bahrain in the next few years, it was declared by Deputy Prime Minister and Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology Chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.

From 1 June 2011 onwards, foreigners entering Malaysia will have their thumbprints taken under a biometric system. Covering all 96 entry points, this security effort is meant to register and monitor foreigners from their arrival until departure, informed Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Deputy Prime Minister Visanu Krue-ngarm has unveiled the draft of the overhauled e-auction rules, expected to take effect from Feb 1, although he could not guarantee that it would totally stamp out bid collusion. Mr Visanu was assigned by Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra to revise the e-auction rules in the wake of mounting complaints about the process.
