ICT programmes emphasized in ASEM ICT Ministerial Meeting in Vietnam

Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Gia Khiem stated that in the spirit of co-operation for sustainable development and prosperity, the ICT Ministers will be able to establish a guiding framework for the implementation of specific programmes in The ASEM ICT Ministerial Meeting in Vietnam.
The ASEM Information Technology and Communication (ICT) Ministerial Meeting in Vietnam attracted the participation of ministerial-level delegations of ASEM members and representatives from ASEM embassies in Vietnam. This is the first time, an ASEM ministerial meeting in the field of ICT has been organised to carry out the initiative on ICT, endorsed by member countries at the 5th ASEM summit meeting held in Hanoi in 2004 for promoting the co-operation to a higher level.
