PAN is a programme initiative of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) of Canada(www.idrc.ca/pan) which helps researchers and communities in the developing world find solutions to their social, economic, and environmental problems.
‘Nemmadi’, Karnataka Government’s ambitious e-Governance project has won the Asia’s premier Government Technology Award. Nemmadi is implemented to deliver various G2C and B2C services for the citizens of rural Karnataka.
The Government of India is looking at Service Oriented Architechture (SOA) to bring greater efficiencies to administrative processes and to enable e-Governance. The National Informatics Center (NIC) has been entrusted to introduce e-Governance standards, which will be based on SOA.
