The SREI Sahaj e-Village limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SREI Infrastructure Finance Limited (SIFL), has launched computerisation of land records on June 14 2008 in the state of West Bengal. Initially, the facility of Record of Rights (RoR) was made available in three e-kiosks in the district of Hooghly.
The first phase of SmartCity Malta project launched on June 14, 2008 with the implementation of SmartCity. The Finance Minister of India P Chidambaram stated that biometric Permanent Account Number (PAN) cards will be introduced to the income tax payers of the country. In the first phase, these will be issued to new applicants.
