
The Gujarat government on Wednesday made another bureaucratic arrangement in the state. The state government led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel transferred some top IAS and IRS officers in the state.
Sonal Mishra, an IAS of 1997 batch, who is currently holding as Commissioner of Rural Development and Principal Secretary to Government (Rural Development), Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar has been transferred and her services are placed at the disposal of Government of India for appointment as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, New Delhi from the date of assumption of the charge of the post. She will hold the charge for a tenure of five years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Milind Torawane, an IAS of 2000 batch, Chief Commissioner of State Tax, Ahmedabad is transferred and appointed as Commissioner of Rural Development and Secretary to Government (Rural Development), Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar. She will replace Sonal Mishra for this post.

Manoj Kumar Das, an IAS of 1990 batch, who has been holding the charge of Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Ports & Transport Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar has been given additional charge of the post of Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Panchayats, Rural Housing and Rural Development Department, Sachivalaya, Gandhinagar until further orders relieving Sonal Mishra of additional charge of that post.

Samir Vakil, IRS, Special Commissioner of State Tax, Ahmedabad would hold additional charge of the post of Chief Commissioner of State Tax, Ahmedabad until further. He will replace Milind Torawan for this post.
