Secretary to the Government of India for the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Pankaj Jain has been assigned the charge of Secretary, Ministry of Mines in the additional capacity. Jain, an IAS officer of 1990-Batch of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, will be holding the additional charge for eight days i.e., from February 12 to February 20, 2022, to cover up during the absence of Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Alok Tandon (IAS 1986-Batch of Uttar Pradesh cadre), as per the orders from the Centre.
