Nina Singh becomes Rajasthan’s first woman cop to assume DG rank

As Nina Singh takes the charge of Director General (DG) of Rajasthan Police, Civil Rights and Anti-Human Trafficking, she became the first woman officer in the state to assume the DG rank. Nina Singh is a senior IPS officer of 1989-Batch who has previously served as Additional Director General (ADG) in the state police force.


In the previous year, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has awarded Singh with Ati Utkrisht Seva Medal for professional excellence.

Singh has also served as Joint Director with CBI and has worked on various important cases including the PNB scam and Nirav Modi. Along with her, ADG, Intelligence, Umesh Mishra has also been promoted as DG, Intelligence.
