The Government of Bihar, recently, issued official orders to promote five IAS officers across different grades. All of them have been given proforma promotion as they are on central deputation and serving under the central government.

Two IAS officers – Vipin Kumar and Rahul Singh of 1996-Batch IAS have been promoted to Higher Administrative Grade that is at the rank of Principal Secretary rank. Ajay Yadav and Kuldeep Narayan, IAS officers of 2005-Batch have been moved to Super Time Scale that is at the rank of Secretary. And, the 2008-Batch IAS officer, Dr Ashima Jain has been promoted and appointed at Special Secretary rank.
