Microsoft to roll out Windows 10 on July 29

microsoft-windowsSoftware giant Microsoft will launch the latest version of its operating system, Windows 10, on July 29. The launch will be across 190 countries globally.

“Windows 10, which will be launched on July 29, will be available in 190 markets globally as a free upgrade to customers running on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1,” Microsoft said in a statement. “Windows 10 marks the beginning of a new era of personal technology, designed to empower people to do great things.”

The latest version of operating system is built with feedback and testing of over four million people around the world.

Windows 10 will work across all Microsoft devices, including desktops, tablets, laptops, smartphones, Xbox console and HoloLens, Microsoft’s new wireless holographic headset.


Internet Explorer will also be replaced with Edge on Windows 10.
