The Ohio based NCR Corporation has inaugurated Intelligent cash deposit ATMs in Bangalore, India. These ATMs can count notes and record the cash transactions by the customers along with denomination of the currency.
Geet Lulla, Country Manager for sales of NCR, said that these ATMs actually read the currency notes of various denominations and give an instant credit to the bank account of the customer. In case of intelligent cheque deposit, the ATM scans the image of the cheque for the verification, then it will issue the receipt, which contains the image of cheque to customer.
