Recently, the Financial Information Network and Operations Ltd (FINO) has partnered with the eGov Services to provide financial products and services to citizens across Jharkhand.
Under this agreement, eGov Services deliver FINO's micro-finance offerings aggregated by Common Service Centre (CSC) Infrastructure. According to CSC Infrastructure chairman Ashok Kumar, there is an urgent need to introduce technology in the micro-finance sector in order to expand the scale of operations. The FINO-eGov Services partnership will empower the poor and underprivileged within the ambit of the development process. According to FINO chief executive officer Manish Khera, micro-finance sector reaches out to a larger number of people than what banks do. It is definitely leading to the growth of both its customers and the economy.
