Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate SEMICON India 2026 on September 17 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. The Prime Minister is also scheduled to address the gathering at the opening of the three-day event.
The conference and exhibition will take place from September 17 to 19 with the theme ‘Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem’, bringing together stakeholders from across the semiconductor and electronics industry.
Global Semiconductor Industry to Participate
SEMICON India 2026 is expected to see participation from more than 600 companies and representatives from 52 countries. Around 50,000 visitors, over 400 executives and more than 150 speakers are expected during the event.
Country pavilions from Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore and Sweden will showcase their respective capabilities and opportunities in the sector.
Focus on the Complete Semiconductor Ecosystem
The event will look at the semiconductor industry as a connected value chain, covering areas from materials and equipment to chip design, fabrication, advanced packaging, electronics and systems.
One of the key attractions will be the ‘Sand to Silicon to Systems’ Value Chain Experience, which will give visitors an overview of the journey from raw materials to finished technology systems.
Startups and Innovation Take Centre Stage
The programme will include dedicated platforms for emerging companies, researchers and students, including a Startup Pavilion, Innovation Showcase and Student Hackathon.
A Workforce Development Pavilion will also focus on skills and talent requirements for the evolving semiconductor industry.
Country and State Pavilions
Along with international participation, 12 state booths will highlight opportunities and capabilities from different parts of India.
The event will provide a common platform for Indian and international companies, policymakers, investors, researchers, startups, academic institutions and students to connect across the semiconductor value chain.
Discussions on Emerging Industry Priorities
Several parallel sessions will examine areas such as the display industry, international collaboration, joint ventures and women’s leadership.
Country roundtables will also provide opportunities for participating nations and companies to discuss potential partnerships and cooperation.
