The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 14 IAS officers in a major administrative reshuffle, changing responsibilities across several departments and districts. A key appointment in the order is Sumit Rajesh Mahajan as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Uttar Pradesh Startup Mission.
Sumit Rajesh Mahajan to Head Startup Mission
Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, who was serving as Chief Development Officer (CDO), Saharanpur, has been appointed CEO of the newly established Uttar Pradesh Startup Mission.
His appointment gives the state startup mission a dedicated administrative head to oversee its programmes and coordinate government efforts to promote entrepreneurship and innovation.
Saharanpur Gets New CDO
Mahajan will be replaced as Saharanpur CDO by Dr Sunil Kumar Verma, who was serving as Additional Commissioner, Commercial Tax Department.
In another field-level change, Yoganand Pandey, Additional District Magistrate (Nagar), Ayodhya, has been appointed CDO, Lakhimpur Kheri.
IT and Public Works Departments Reshuffled
Rahul Singh, Special Secretary, Information Technology and Electronics Department, has been transferred as Special Secretary, Public Works Department.
Abhishek Kumar, CDO, Lakhimpur Kheri, has been appointed Special Secretary, IT and Electronics Department.
Changes in Revenue Administration
Sahab Singh, Judicial Member, Board of Revenue, Prayagraj, has been appointed Secretary, Secretariat Administration Department.
Dr Vishram, Additional Commissioner, Vindhyachal Division, will take charge as Judicial Member, Board of Revenue, Prayagraj.
Devendra Kumar Singh Kushwaha, Special Secretary, Sericulture Department and Director, Sericulture, has also been appointed Judicial Member, Board of Revenue, Prayagraj.
Sericulture and Ambedkar Nagar Get New Officers
Anand Kumar Shukla, CDO, Ambedkar Nagar, has been appointed Special Secretary, Sericulture Department and Director, Sericulture.
Vaibhav Mishra, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), Kushinagar, has been posted as CDO, Ambedkar Nagar.
Secondary Education and Rural Development Changes
Ashok Kumar Kanaujiya, Joint Director, Youth Welfare Department, has been appointed Special Secretary, Secondary Education Department.
Arun Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Aligarh Division, has been posted as Special Secretary, Rural Development Department.
Aligarh Division Also Sees Change
Pradeep Kumar Yadav, Additional Municipal Commissioner, Saharanpur, has been appointed Additional Commissioner, Aligarh Division.
Meanwhile, Neha Sharma, who was serving as Director General, Medical Education and Training, has been relieved of her additional charge as Secretary, Medical Education Department.
Focus on Key Administrative Areas
The reshuffle brings changes across startup development, IT and electronics, public works, rural development, sericulture, education, revenue and medical education, along with several district-level postings.
