In a move aimed at enhancing Karnataka’s digital backbone, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Bengaluru has been entrusted by the Centre for e-Governance, Government of Karnataka (CeG) to provide Co-location Services at its state-of-the-art STPI Data Centre in Bengaluru.

The collaboration is expected to significantly strengthen the State Data Centre ecosystem by ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient hosting of critical government applications and digital services.

Boosting Karnataka’s Digital Infrastructure

Under this arrangement, CeG will leverage STPI’s advanced data centre facilities to host and manage key e-Governance platforms. The co-location model enables government systems to operate in a highly secure and professionally managed environment while ensuring high availability, disaster resilience, and seamless scalability.

Officials noted that this step aligns with Karnataka’s broader vision of building a robust digital infrastructure capable of supporting the growing demand for online citizen services, data-driven governance, and secure digital transactions.

Enabling Secure and Seamless e-Governance

The STPI Data Centre in Bengaluru offers enterprise-grade infrastructure, including reliable power supply, advanced cooling systems, network redundancy, and stringent cybersecurity protocols. These capabilities will help ensure uninterrupted delivery of government services and better protection of sensitive public data.

By hosting applications in a controlled and monitored environment, the state aims to improve service reliability, reduce downtime risks, and enable faster deployment of new digital initiatives.

Supporting the State’s Digital Transformation Vision

The partnership marks another step in Karnataka’s ongoing efforts to modernize governance through technology. With demand for digital public services rising across departments, the collaboration is expected to enhance operational efficiency while providing citizens with smoother, more responsive online services.
