Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that beginning August 15, citizens will be able to access 700 public services through the Mana Mitra WhatsApp Governance platform, eliminating the need for visits to government offices.
Chairing a review at the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) on Monday, Naidu directed officials to ensure glitch-free operations and roll out awareness campaigns for wider adoption. He also inaugurated Aware 2.0, an upgraded RTGS module capable of forecasting rainfall and analysing real-time water data for optimal utilisation.
The Chief Minister issued directives to intensify disease control measures, achieve the zero malaria target, and deploy drones for hotspot identification, contamination control, and continuous surveillance. He stressed using AI for air quality monitoring, early rainfall alerts, and anti-crime measures.
Highlighting drone applications, Naidu called for their rapid expansion across 45 identified use cases, particularly in agriculture to reduce pesticide usage and in public health to curb mosquito breeding. He also pushed for the expedited development of a “Drone City.”
On data initiatives, he instructed RTGS to complete its Data Lake project by November, integrate e-crop and soil fertility data, and produce district-specific recommendations to reduce fertiliser use. Each of the state’s 175 Assembly constituencies, he said, should undergo a scientific analysis of development needs.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, IT and RTG Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni, RTGS CEO Prakhar Jain, and Deputy CEO M. Madhuri.
