3rd Semiconnect Conference 2026

Gujarat is set to host the third edition of the Semiconnect Conference 2026 on March 1 at Mahatma Mandir, bringing together global semiconductor leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to advance India’s semiconductor ambitions.

The event is being organised by the Department of Science & Technology and the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM) and draws inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of technological self-reliance, positioning semiconductors as a key pillar of India’s future growth.

Top Leadership to Inaugurate the Event

The conference will be inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, alongside Union Minister for Electronics & IT, Railways, and Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and Minister for Science & Technology Arjun Modhwadia.

Global CEOs and representatives from leading semiconductor and electronics companies—including Micron Technology, Tata Electronics, CG Semi, and Kaynes Technology—are expected to participate, creating a platform for collaboration, investment, and innovation.

Theme Highlights Gujarat’s Growing Role

This year’s theme, “Gujarat – India’s Gateway to Silicon,” underscores the state’s ambition to anchor India’s semiconductor ecosystem. With strong infrastructure, industrial corridors, and investor-friendly policies, Gujarat is positioning itself as a central hub for semiconductor manufacturing, research, and innovation.

Two Days of Dialogue, Collaboration, and Industry Engagement

Over the course of the conference, participants will engage in:

  • Keynote sessions by global industry leaders and policymakers

  • Thematic panels on next-generation semiconductor research and manufacturing

  • Country-focused roundtables with Japan and Taiwan

  • Workforce development discussions such as “From Silicon to Students: Building India’s Semiconductor Future”

These sessions aim to align academia, industry, and government to build a robust talent pipeline for the semiconductor sector.

Focus on Infrastructure and Investment Readiness

Discussions will spotlight emerging investment hubs such as Dholera and Sanand, along with logistics, export readiness, and financing opportunities through GIFT International Financial Services Centre. Delegates will also gain insights into India’s broader electronics ecosystem, from printed circuit boards to resilient component supply chains.

On the second day, participants will undertake a guided tour of the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), facilitated by GSEM, DICDL, and Tata Electronics, offering a firsthand look at Gujarat’s infrastructure and investment-ready facilities.

Driving India’s Semiconductor Growth

The Semiconnect Conference 2026 aims to strengthen India’s role in the global semiconductor value chain by encouraging investment, promoting research in emerging technologies, developing skilled talent, and fostering partnerships between global and domestic players.
