HUDCO Signs ₹1 Lakh Crore MoU with Chhattisgarh Government for Housing and Urban Infrastructure

Agreement to support long-term financing for major development projects across the state


The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) worth ₹1 lakh crore with the Government of Chhattisgarh to support housing and urban infrastructure development in the state.

Under the agreement, HUDCO will provide long-term and structured financial assistance for a range of projects aimed at improving urban living conditions and strengthening basic infrastructure. The proposed funding will cover initiatives in affordable housing, water supply, sewerage, drainage, urban transport and other civic amenities.

State officials said the partnership is expected to accelerate the implementation of key urban development projects and help local bodies expand essential services in growing towns and cities.

A senior government official said the collaboration will enable the state to access stable financing for large-scale development works while ensuring that projects are planned and executed in a structured manner.


With the MoU now in place, HUDCO and the Chhattisgarh government will begin identifying priority projects and preparing detailed financing plans to take the partnership forward.
