The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday announced another administrative reshuffle, transferring two IAS officers to key positions in the election and rural development departments. Akhand Pratap Singh, a 2010-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Special Secretary (Election) along with the additional charge of Additional Chief Electoral Officer. He previously served as CEO of the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Road Development Authority.

In another major posting, Deepa Ranjan, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Mission Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission. She will simultaneously hold the additional charge of the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Road Development Authority.

The latest appointments underscore the state government’s push to strengthen administrative efficiency, streamline governance, and reinforce operational frameworks in key departments ahead of crucial developmental priorities.
