IAS transfers

The Karnataka government has announced a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring 11 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and one Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer to key positions across departments. The move is aimed at boosting governance and ensuring strategic alignment across Public Works, Housing, Youth Empowerment, and Transport sectors.

Amlan Aditya Biswas, a 1997 batch IAS officer who served as Special Officer and Competent Authority at IMA Bengaluru, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD). Naveen Raj Singh, 1998 batch, currently heading the Housing Department, has been reassigned as Principal Secretary, Youth Empowerment & Sports.

V Anbukkumar (2004 batch), MD of KSRTC, will now serve as Secretary, Housing Department. In another key change, Sameer Shukla (2006 batch) has been appointed to the Commerce & Industries Department, overseeing MSME and Mines.
Randeep D (2006 batch), Secretary, Youth Empowerment & Sports, has been transferred as Secretary, Scheduled Tribes Welfare Department.
Ramandeep Chowdhary (2008 batch) moves from the Karnataka Public Service Commission to the Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics Department.

Pommala Sunil Kumar (IAS:2011) will now additionally serve as Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, Bengaluru. Ramachandran R (IAS:2012), currently MD of BMTC, will now also head KSRTC.

(IAS:2012) is posted as Commissioner, Karnataka Housing Board, while Ibrahim Maigur (IAS:2017), Secretary, RERA, has been transferred as Director (IT), KSRTC. Manoj Kumar (IFS:1997), MD of Mysore Sales International Ltd., has been given the additional role of Secretary, RERA.
