The Odisha government has transferred 12 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across various departments. The Department of General Administration and Public Grievances has issued an official order implementing these transfers, with several officials also being assigned additional responsibilities.

Among the key changes, Dipankar Mahapatra, who previously served as the CEO of the Hockey Promotion Council, has been appointed as the new Sports Director. He will continue to hold his position as CEO of the Hockey Promotion Council. Smita Raut, formerly the Additional Secretary of the Finance Department, has been designated as the State Project Director and Commissioner of the Odisha Adarsh Vidyalaya Sangathan.

The reshuffle includes the following appointments:

• Chitra Arumugam has been appointed as the Principal Secretary of the Department of Labor and ESI Technology, and she will also hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary for the Department of Science and Technology.
• Yamini Sarangi has been named the Commercial Tax and GST Commissioner, with additional responsibilities as the Special Secretary for the Finance Department.
• Sudhanshu Mohan Samal, previously the Additional Secretary in the Water Resources Department, has been made the Managing Director of the Odisha Mining Corporation Limited.
• Indramani Tripathi will take over as the new Labor Commissioner.
• Dr. Poma Tudu, MD of OSMCL, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Director of ST, in addition to her current responsibilities.
• Monica Priyadarshini has been appointed as the Mission Director of the Odisha Livelihood Mission on inter-cadre deputation to the Government of Odisha.
• Trilochan Majhi, the Additional Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, has been transferred to the role of Additional Secretary in the Home Department.
• Siddharth Das, the Director of Sports, has been posted as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and will also handle the additional charge of Additional Secretary for the Finance Department.
• Bijay Kumar Prusty, the Secretary of ORERA, has been reassigned as Estate Director and Additional Secretary of the GA&PG Department.
