West Bengal: Subrata Gupta appointed ACS North Bengal Development Dept., Manish Jain takes charge of Irrigation & Waterways Dept

The West Bengal government has assigned new responsibilities to two senior IAS officers in a recent bureaucratic reshuffle.

Dr. Subrata Gupta, a 1990-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the North Bengal Development Department, in addition to his current role as ACS of the Science & Technology and Bio-Technology Department.

Manish Jain, a 1994-batch IAS officer, has been transferred to the Irrigation and Waterways Department as the Principal Secretary. He will also assume additional responsibilities as Principal Secretary of the Water Resource Investigation & Development Department and Project Director of the ADMI Project.
