In a massive administrative reshuffle, the Rajasthan government has transferred 22 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 58 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers. The Department of Personnel issued the transfer orders, which saw the reassignment of 6 Divisional Commissioners and 6 District Magistrates. The police department also witnessed significant changes, with the transfer of Superintendents of Police (SP) in 15 districts and 2 Range Inspectors General of Police (IGP).
- Dr. Pratibha Singh (2007 batch), previously the Divisional Commissioner of Pali, has been appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Jodhpur. She will also retain additional responsibility for the Pali Division.
- Bal Mukund Asawa (2014 batch), the former Collector of Kuchaman, has been named the Collector of Rajsamand.
- Utsav Kaushal (2017 batch) takes on the role of Collector of Deeg.
- Rajendra Vijay, the Executive Director of the Rajasthan Urban Development and Infrastructure Corporation (RUDSICO), has been appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Kota.
- Ambrish Kumar (2004 batch) has been made Secretary of the Medical Education Department.
- Shubham Chaudhary will serve as the Collector of Sawai Madhopur.
- Arun Kumar Hasija (2015 batch) has been appointed Commissioner of Jaipur Heritage Municipal Corporation.
The District Magistrates of Didwana, Beawar, and Churu have also been changed.
Key IPS Transfers:
- Rajesh Meena is now the Inspector General of the Udaipur Range.
- Ajaypal Lamba has moved from the Udaipur Range to the Jaipur Range as Inspector General.
- Biju George Joseph remains the Commissioner of Police in Jaipur.
The reshuffle has replaced SPs in districts like Hanumangarh, Jaipur Rural, Jodhpur Rural, Bhilwara, Alwar, Ajmer, and Tonk. Four Superintendents of Police (SPs) have been given additional responsibilities for newly created districts:
- IPS Mamta Gupta (2012 batch)
- IPS Dharmendra Singh (2014 batch)
- IPS Gyan Chandra Yadav (2014 batch)
- IPS Vandita Rana (2017 batch)
In addition, the state government also transferred 183 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers. The Department of Personnel released the list, which includes Jaswant Singh, joint secretary in the chief minister’s office, who was reassigned to Bikaner as additional divisional commissioner. The list also featured multiple additional collectors and sub-divisional officers.
