The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has recently approved the promotion of several senior bureaucrats from the Joint Secretary level to Additional Secretary and Secretary ranks.

The officers promoted are as follows:

• Rajiv Jalota (1988-batch IAS officer), currently serving as Chairperson of Mumbai Port Trust, has received an extension in his post’s upgradation from Joint Secretary to Secretary until September 30, 2024.
• Manoj Sahay (1994-batch IA&AS officer), serving as Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor, has been promoted to Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, until August 9, 2025.
• Bhuvnesh Kumar (1995-batch IAS officer), currently Joint Secretary, has been upgraded to Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology for a term until August 9, 2025.
• Puneet Kansal (1996-batch IAS officer), currently Joint Secretary, has been promoted to Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat for a term up to August 9, 2025.
• Nitishwar Kumar (1996-batch IAS officer), serving as Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor, has been promoted to Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Women and Child Development until September 30, 2025.
• Nitesh Kumar Vyas (1996-batch IAS officer), currently Deputy Election Commissioner, has been upgraded from Joint Secretary to Additional Secretary in the Election Commission of India for a term until August 9, 2025.
• Minhaj Alam (1996-batch IAS officer), currently Joint Secretary, has been promoted to Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries for a term ending March 31, 2025.
• Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon, awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Managing Director of AP MARKFED, replacing G. Sekhar Babu, who has been transferred. Dr. Samoon will also hold the additional charge of Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) until further notice.
• Kritika Shukla, also awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Director of Intermediate Education, relieving Nidhi Meena from the additional charge. Shukla will also serve as Secretary of the Board of Intermediate Education and Director of Adult Education.
• Pattanshetti Ravi Subash has been assigned to the Energy Department as Chairman and Managing Director of CPDCL.
• Lakshisha G., currently the Chief Executive Officer of NTR Vaidya Seva, has been placed at the disposal of the Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department for the role of Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC). He will continue as CEO of NTR Vaidya Seva in an additional capacity.
• Venugopal Reddy, awaiting a posting, has been appointed Director of Women Development & Child Welfare.
• P. Raja Babu, currently Managing Director of Skills Development Corporation, has been transferred to the Housing Department as Managing Director of AP State Housing Corporation.
• Nishant Kumar, awaiting a posting, has been named Director of Excise & Prohibition.
• G.C. Kishore Kumar has been appointed as Managing Director of the Mission for Clean Krishna Godavari Canals.
• M. Vijaya Suneetha, awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Director of Agriculture Marketing.
• Dr. K. Srinivasulu, awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Director of Horticulture.
• B. Lavanya Veni, Joint Collector & Additional District Magistrate of Eluru District, has been transferred and appointed as Director of Social Welfare.
• Muttimbaku Abhishikth Kishore, awaiting a posting, has been placed at the disposal of the Industries & Commerce Department as the Managing Director of APIIC. He will also be in additional charge of vice chairman and managing director of APTDC.

• Dr. A. Siri, Special Commissioner – SVAMITVA, has been transferred and appointed Director of Secondary Health. She will also serve as Managing Director of APSACS in an additional capacity.
• S. Rama Sundar Reddy, Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate of Kakinada has been transferred and appointed Commissioner of R&R and CADA.
