In a significant development, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has given its approval for several high-profile appointments to the position of Additional Secretary or equivalent posts. The appointments were confirmed on Monday, and the newly appointed officers have been assigned to various government ministries and departments.

Here is the comprehensive list of the newly appointed officers:

1. Anurag Agarwal (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of External Affairs.
2. Rupinder Brar (IRS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Coal.
3. Deepti Gaur Mukerjee (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Health & Family Welfare.
4. Pallavi Jain Govil (IAS) – Appointed as Director General of Hydrocarbons in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas.
5. Sudeep Jain (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy.
6. Amit Kumar Ghosh (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment.
7. Niraj Verma (IAS) – Appointed as Administrator of Universal Service Obligation Fund, Department of Telecommunications.
8. Abhishek Singh (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology.
9. Shakil P Ahamed (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Textiles.
10. Hitesh Kumar S Makwana (IAS) – Appointed as Surveyor General of India at Survey of India under the Department of Science & Technology.
11. Gitanjali Gupta (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary of NITI Aayog.
12. Caralyn Khongwar Deshmukh (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Rural Development.
13. Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey (IAS) – Appointed as Officer on Special Duty for Advance Cell of 16th Finance Commission, Department of Economic Affairs.
14. Rajeev Kumar Mital (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Department of Atomic Energy.
15. Srikant Nagulapalli (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power.
16. Rahul Sharma (IAS) – Appointed as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.

Additionally, the ACC has also approved the in-situ upgradation of the following officers to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India:
