In a significant administrative restructuring, the Rajasthan government executed a major reshuffle on Wednesday, transferring 40 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The move, detailed in an order issued by the Department of Personnel, brought about key changes in various departments.

According to the order, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Akhil Arora will retain his position heading the finance and excise department, while Anand Kumar takes charge of Home, Jail, and the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

ACS Kuldeep Ranka, formerly secretary to ex-Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, now assumes responsibility for the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment and Panchayati Raj.

The reshuffle continues with ACS Subodh Agarwal appointed as Chairman of the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute. Abhay Kumar takes over the Public Health Engineering Department and water resources, and Aparna Arora moves to the Revenue Department. Sandeep Verma, Shreya Guha, and others also see new postings in various departments.

Principal Secretary Bhaskar Sawant moves to the Food and Civil Supply department, Kunji Lal Meena becomes Chairman of the Indira Gandhi Canal Board, and Ajitabh Sharma takes charge of Industry, MSME, and the Bureau of Industrial Promotion.

Alok Gupta assumes duties in the Energy Department, Vaibhav Galeria in Agriculture, T. Ravikant in Urban Development and Housing, and Manju Rajpal as Commissioner of the Jaipur Development Authority.

Secretaries Aarti Dogra, Anandhi, Suchi Tyagi, and Rajan Vishal have been reassigned to the IT Department, Mines and Petroleum Department, Cooperative, and Minority Affairs and Waqf, respectively.

IAS Sandesh Nayak takes on the role of special secretary to the chief minister, and Sunil Sharma is appointed as the Commissioner of the Department of Information and Public Relations, as per the order.

Mukul Sharma assumes the position of Salumber district collector, and Utsah Chaudhary takes charge as Commissioner of Jodhpur Development Authority.
