Punjab transfers – Parminder Pal Singh IAS becomes Project Director in World Bank’s Education Project, 3 PCS officers also reshuffled

In a significant reshuffle within the Punjab government’s education sector, IAS officer Parminder Pal Singh has been appointed as the Project Director for a World Bank-funded project in the Department of Education. He will also serve as the Additional Secretary for School Education, playing a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of Punjab.


Complementing this appointment, PCS officer Amaninder Kaur has assumed the role of Director at the State Council of Educational Research and Training in Punjab. Her new position is expected to drive advancements in educational research and training methodologies across the state.

Further enhancing the department’s capabilities, PCS Sanjeev Sharma has been entrusted with the responsibilities of Joint Secretary in the Higher Education and Languages department. Sharma’s role will be crucial in overseeing the development of higher education and language programmes.

Additionally, PCS officer Paramjit Singh has been appointed as the Director of School Education (Secondary) in Punjab. His role will focus on strengthening the secondary education system, ensuring higher standards and improved educational outcomes.
