IAS Amit Sharma made Nodal Officer for Viksit Barat Sankalp Yatra in Ladakh

In a significant development aimed at streamlining the execution of the Viksit Barat Sankalp Yatra initiated by the Government of India in Ladakh, Administrative Secretary IAS Amit Sharma has been appointed as the Nodal Officer for the administration of the region.


Amit Sharma, who currently serves as the Administrative Secretary of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in the Union Territory of Ladakh, was officially appointed to this crucial role by the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The official order, issued to this effect, reads, “To ensure the effective implementation of the Viksit Barat Sankalp Yatra, which is set to be launched by the Government of India on November 15, 2023, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Amit Sharma, Administrative Secretary of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in the Union Territory of Ladakh, as the Nodal Officer responsible for the administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh.”
