In a recent announcement, the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has given its nod to several significant appointments to the government’s Joint Secretary positions.

Here are the most recent updates:

  1. Aswani (IRTS:1998) has been assigned the role of Joint Secretary in the Department of Food & Public Distribution, serving a five-year term effective from the date of assuming office.
  2. Hara Prasad Nayak has taken up the position of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor at NATGRID under the Ministry of Home Affairs, also for a five-year term beginning from the date of assuming office, succeeding Rajiv Sharma (IDAS:1993).
  3. Amit Katoch now serves as the Additional CPFC (HQrs) of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) under the Ministry of Labour & Employment for a five-year tenure.
  4. Palka Sahni has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals for an overall tenure of five years, concluding on April 2, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
  5. Pankaj Hazarika assumed the role of Additional Secretary at the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) under the Department of Personnel and Training for a five-year period.
  6. Sandhya Bhullar is now Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), serving a term until March 31, 2024.
  7. Vinay Kumar has taken up the post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORTH).
  8. Brijendra Swarup has been designated as the Executive Director (Projects) of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) under the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.
  9. Raj Kumar Mishra assumes the position of Director in the National Water Informatics Center (NWIC) under the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.
  10. Shantanu has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region.
